Usually in Japan all people who turned 20 years old will be invited to attend this ceremony at their local public facility. Is it common to have photos done for the ceremony?
Yes most likely as it costs to rent kimono and have someone to help them wear it, and all the make up and the hair do..it is very much a special occasion. So people would love to take their photos. Plus most parents would love to have photos of their daughter for this event.
